During the coldest spell Anchorage experienced this year we had the unfortunate incident of a water heater leak! The leak started Sunday evening. As we didn't need hot water during the night, we decided to wait to call for help and started calling plumbers Monday morning. Because of the extreme cold, 99% of the businesses we called were swamped and could not help us—except Drain Masters! They were able to send a technician in the afternoon and replace the leaking valve and got our water heater working in no time. We were particularly impressed with the advice we received from Gerald—because of the age of our water heater, we asked if we need to replace it? Upon inspection, Gerald Tyson recommended replacing the leaking valve and not the entire heater as it was still in good working condition—at $350 vs. the cost of a new water heater!
