What a plumbing membership does for your home
A membership turns plumbing care from a reaction into a routine. Drain Masters checks your whole system once a year, services your water heater, and reaches you faster when something goes wrong. Problems get found while they are still small and still cheap.
Anchorage homes take a specific kind of punishment. Frost heave shifts soil several inches in a single season, and pipes in unheated spaces fail when ground temperatures stay low for months. A yearly look at the full system is how those failures get caught before a frozen pipe becomes a burst one.
Who qualifies for the membership
This membership is built for homeowners who live in and care for their primary residence. Three rules decide eligibility.
- Owner-occupied single-family homes.
- Single-family rental properties, when the owner’s primary residence also carries an active membership.
- One membership per property location.

How the annual inspection gets scheduled
Drain Masters reaches out twice each membership year to book your 65-point inspection. If neither attempt lands on a date that works, scheduling it before your renewal becomes your responsibility. The inspection does not roll over to the next year, so an unused one is lost at renewal.
Phones are answered Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm and Saturday from 9am to 3pm, and online booking is open anytime. Urgent problems, including no water, no hot water, and active sewage backups, get priority, and members are seen first. Drain Masters does not offer 24/7 emergency plumbing repair service.
Serving Anchorage and the surrounding area
Drain Masters is a family-owned company based in Anchorage, completing an average of 4,000 jobs a year across the city. Homes in Spenard, Turnagain, and Midtown were built largely between the 1950s and 1980s. Their galvanized supply lines and cast iron drains benefit most from a yearly inspection. Water heater repair and drain cleaning are the most common calls in those neighborhoods.
The team also serves Eagle River, Chugiak, and Girdwood for plumbing, drain, and sewer service. Eagle River records some of the coldest temperatures in the greater Anchorage area. Frozen pipe calls spike there during and right after severe cold stretches.
Membership questions from Anchorage homeowners
Is a plumbing membership worth it for an Anchorage home?
A membership pays off fastest in homes with older plumbing or a history of drain problems. At $19.95 a month, the plan costs about $240 a year and includes a 65-point inspection, water heater service, and 10% off every job. Anchorage homes built before 1980 often carry galvanized or cast iron lines. Those fail gradually, and a yearly inspection catches the decline before it becomes a repair.
What does the Drain Masters plumbing membership cost?
The membership costs $19.95 a month and covers one owner-occupied single-family home in Anchorage. That price includes the 65-point annual plumbing inspection, annual water heater maintenance, priority scheduling, and 10% off all plumbing, drain, and sewer services. There are no dispatch fees and no after-hours surcharges. One membership covers one property location, and the term runs a full year.
What happens during the 65-point annual plumbing inspection?
A licensed technician works through a 65-point checklist covering your home’s full plumbing system, top to bottom. That includes supply lines, drains, fixtures, shutoffs, and the water heater. The visit is diagnostic. The technician documents what is working, what is wearing out, and what needs attention before the next Anchorage winter. You get a walkthrough of the findings, with upfront pricing on anything recommended.
How does priority scheduling work when I need service?
Members move ahead of non-members in the service queue. Drain Masters typically schedules service across Anchorage within 36 hours, and same-day or next-day appointments are often available depending on demand. True emergencies, including no hot water, no running water, and active sewage backups, are handled first, and members are seen first inside that group.
Can I get a membership for a rental property I own?
Single-family rental properties qualify only when the owner’s primary residence also carries an active membership. One membership applies to each property location, so a rental needs its own. The plan is not transferable between addresses, and adding a second property requires a separate membership.
What happens if I miss my annual inspection?
Drain Masters attempts to schedule your inspection twice during the membership year. If it is still not completed after those two attempts, scheduling it before renewal becomes your responsibility. The inspection does not roll over, so an unused inspection is lost when the membership renews rather than carried into the next year.
Can I cancel my membership before the year ends?
The membership is a one-year commitment. Members who pay monthly and cancel early have their membership discounts reversed on completed jobs. Those discounts were extended on the basis of the full-year term. Call 907-202-5238 to talk through the details before cancelling.
What plumbing maintenance should Anchorage homeowners do between visits?
Three habits prevent most winter calls. Keep cabinet doors open under sinks on exterior walls during hard cold snaps so warm air reaches the pipes. Know where your main water shutoff is before you need it. Keep grease, wipes, and coffee grounds out of drains, since buildup in a cold line clogs faster than it would in a warmer climate.
